2. ICING SUGAR/Buttercream frosting
How to make icing sugar at home?
The following are simple ingredients that you probably already have in your kitchen.

Ingredients

3 cups of powdered sugar
1/4 cup of butter/margarine
1 1/2 teaspoon of vanilla
2 tablespoon of milk/water
Add food color,red

Steps

-In medium bowl, mix powdered sugar and butter with spoon or electric mixer on low speed. Stir in vanilla and 1 tablespoon of the milk.

-If frosting is too thick, beat in more milk, a few drops at a time.

If frosting becomes too thin, beat in a small amount of powdered sugar

Now your buttercream frosting or icing sugar is ready for the cake decoration.

Steps for Cake decoration

Apply the first layer of icing to your cake,and use your offset spatula to smoothen the icing

Now,Apply the icing to the sides of the cake by the cake icer bag

Use icing smoother to smooth the icing,every angle of the cake
Pull the excess icing around the cake to fill in gaps, then wipe off the icing using smoother.
To do the edges and top,use spatula to smoothen it,Pull the icing in towards the middle of the cake.

Next, use the paper towel and fondant smoother to finish smoothing any imperfections that are left from the offset spatula.

Piping the cake

-Use the icing piping bag to pipe on your border, Put your cake on your favorite cake stand, you can add a few more toppings you want like sweets,fresh fruits.
