Homemade Vanilla Cake Recipe





Making Vanilla cake at home is easy if you practice,follow these simple instructions and try.
Remember, your cake won't rise properly if you're using an old baking powder/baking soda.(stay for six months in your pantry).Now let's start.


Vanilla Cake Baking
Ingredients to make the Vanilla Cake
  • 2 cups of Wheat Flour (Ngano)
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon ​baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon salt (optional)
  • 1 small cup unsalted butter (blueband)
  • 1 cups sugar
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cupfresh milk or use Fanta Soda

Instructions to make the Vanilla Cake

  1. In a large mixing bowl, Put the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt, and set aside.

1b) Grind or Blend some Sugar with a blender and set a side



2) In a separate large bowl or the bowl beat the butter and sugar on medium speed until fluffy, which will take about 10 minutes


3) Add the eggs one at a time, Add Vanilla, Add Fresh Milk or Fanta soda(or any other flavor you want)


4)  Now add about the dry ingredients from(step 1a) to the egg-butter-sugar mixture



5)  Beat the mixture untill creamy and poridge like.

OR Use Electric mixer

6)  Prepare the baking Pan: Use a pastry brush to spread the butter (blueband)  evenly in the pan


7)  Pour the mixture from Step 5 in the prepared Pans

 

BAKING:
8) You can Use Oven to bake the Cake in a medium heat (350 f)



OR Use The charcoal stove to bake the cake, (JIKO)
-Fetch some hot charcoal and place it on the lid



9)  Check the Cake 
  Around 15-30 minutes, If the mixure emits sweet smell, Check If the cake has turned brown and insert the toothpick into the centre, If the toothpick has come out clean/dry then your cake is ready.

BUT, If the toothpick inserted into the centre of the cake is still wet then return to heat.




Let your cake cool down 

Yummy cake

You can have it with milk or juice,whichever your preference.
