Homemade White bread Loaf recipe



INGREDIENTS 

  • Wheat flour 1 kg
  • 2 tablespoon active dry yeast
  • 1/4 cup of warm milk
  • 1/2 cup of warm water
  • 3 tablespoon of butter
  • 2 teaspoon of salt
  • 3 tablespoon of sugar/honey
METHOD
  • Put water into the heat untill warm
  • Activate the yeast by adding 1/2 cup of the warm water, the sugar and the yeast, stir it up and leave it to sit for 15 minutes or so until it is foamy/bubbly.


  • Add the yeast mixture into a large mixing bowl.
  • Add 1/4 cup of milk and 2 spoons of melted butter mix together
  • Add a flour little by little, and mix using a whisk


  •  Add the remaining flour, 1/4 cup at a time, until the dough is slightly sticky
  • On a lightly floured bench, knead the dough for about 10 minutes until it is smooth, elasticy and bounces back when pressed gently


  • First rise: Put the dough in a clean bowl, cover with a clean cloth for 2 hours in order to rise.
  • Remove the dough from the bowl.
  • Roll out using a rolling pin
  • Shape into a loaf


  • Butter the loaf pan you will be using
  • Place it into the loaf pan.
  • Second rise:Let it rise until almost double, for about 1 hour.
  • Bake at 200ยบ C for about 20- 30 minutes
  • Take out the bread
  • Brush the top with butter


You can store your delicious homemade white bread in an airtight container.
