Crispy Bhajiyas recipe





Chana dal bhajiya recipe 
Bhajiyas are made from soaked and ground lentils.It’s so easy to make,follow the instructions below.

Ingredients
1 cup Chana Dal (Lentil/ split brown chickpeas)-kunde
1 onion
1 red chilli
¼ cup corriander laeaves/cilantro-giligilani
½ teaspoon chilli pepper flakes
1 teaspoon baking powder
Salt to taste
Oil for Deep Frying


Directions 


  1. Wash and soak the Chana Dal in water for 2 hours and drain water completely.                                       {Wash and sieve out as much of the peels as you can, wash and change the water several times until you're satisfied that the grains are clean and the water is clear.}



2) Cut onion and chili,finely chop cilantro/corriander leaves, put aside.


3) Grind chana dal in a blender or food processor  along with baking powder, salt and chili pepper flakes.

-Do not add water whilst doing this unless you absolutely have to, and then also just add a teaspoon at a time until you can grind the mixture.

4) Add diced onion and chili; and chopped corriander leaves, blend for another 20 seconds.


5) Transfer this mixture into a mixing bowl, mix well. Adjust salt if necessary,shape mixture into small balls.



6)  In a frying pan over medium heat, bring oil to boil. Then pick small balls of the batter using your fingertips and gently drop them into the hot oil. Deep fry in hot oil until golden brown and crispy.

7) Remove from oil, transfer to a plate lined with paper towels for the excess oil to absorb.


Serve hot with coconut chutney
