NOW LETS START:
INGREDIENTS FOR VANILLA BUTTERCREAM FROSTING/ICING
- Butter 1 1/2 CUP
- Icing Sugar/Powdered sugar 6 CUPS =1 kg {learn how to make icing sugar HERE}
- Vanilla Extract [Liquid Vanilla] 2 TSP
- Milk 3 TBS [or Heavy Cream 6 TBSP]
- Pinch of Salt
- Food Color [Optional]
INSTRUCTIONS
- Whip/Beat the Butter- Put the butter in the bowl and use stand mixer or electric hand mixer to beat the butter in slow speed for 7-8 mins until light, creamy and pale color.
- Add in Sifted Icing Sugar- Sift the Icing sugar, and add in 1 cup of icing sugar at a time in the whipped butter, mix on medium speed until 1 cup of icing is full mixed in the butter then add another 1 cup of icing,then continue until you finish all 1 Kg.
- Add in Vanilla,salt & milk
- Whip/beat all together on high speed for another 3-4 mins until light, fluffy and creamy.
- Stir in the food coloring until well combined (optional)
READY! YOU CAN USE IT RIGHT AWAY OR COVER and REFRIGERATE FOR UP TO 4 WEEKS.
Note: When refrigerating, then you want to use then you discover your frosting is
- TOO LIGHT- add in 1 TBSP sifted icing sugar (until you reach the consistency you need)
- TOO HEAVY/thick- add in 1 TBSP milk (until you reach the consistency you need)
