You can make banana plantain chips at home for birthday parties or any home party,or even for business. Follow the Steps below with pictures.
~You can choose yellow banana for sweeter chips and green banana for less sweet chips.The choice is yours, though I recommend green.
Ingredients Of Banana Chips Snacks
- 4 Green (unripe) plantains peeled, sliced into thin rounds and washed
- 1 litre of Cooking Oil
- 1 tablespoon chili powder
- Salt to taste
- INSTRUCTIONS
- ~Heat Oil in a deep frying pan until very Hot, while doing that peel the plaintains by using a sharp knife or grater, you can slice any style you want Long cut banana slices or cut the banana into 2mm diagonal slices.
~Bring the banana pieces into hot oil and deep fry/Drop the pieces individually so they won't stick each other.
- ~Let the banana/plantain cook for about 5-6 mins.
- ~Turn the pieces to cook on the both sides until golden brown.
- ~Remove chips from hot oil, and drain in the kitchen paper towel, Spread on a flat surface and sprinkle with the salt and red chilli powder(optional)
